System Menu

Selected from the main Visual Traffic menus screen, the System Menu contains items used to setup most of the information used by VT throughout the database. In general, you have a single Corporation which may have one or more Statement Groups, each with one or more radio Stations. Most of the basic information about the groups and stations are gathered here. This includes Agencies, Salespersons, Commissions, various groupings, Copy, Carts, System Messages, etc. Click any of these links for more information on the items on the System Menu.

• Edit Agencies opens the Agency Setup dialog, used to enter or edit information about Advertising Agencies used by VT.
• Corporation opens the Corporation Setup Dialog, used to enter or edit information about the corporation licensed to use Visual Traffic.
• Custom Calendar opens the Custom Calendar Definition dialog, used to define calendar periods other than standard years and months. These periods can then be used on some reports.
• Commissions and Discounts opens the Commissions and Discounts dialog, used to define or edit all commissions and discounts that can be applied in VT.
• Document Groups opens the Document Groups dialog, used to define the document groups used by some VT reports.
• Name Categories opens the Name Categories dialog, used to define or edit the headings or names of things used throughout VT.
• Spot Types opens the Spot Types dialog, used to define or edit the names that can be applied to optional Spot Type groups.
• Edit Salespersons opens the Salesperson Maintenance dialog, used to define or edit the salespeople in the VT database.
• Edit Sales Groups opens the Sales Group Setup dialog, used to define or edit Sales Groups consisting of two or more salespeople.
• Edit Stations opens the Station Setup dialog, used to define or edit the stations for which VT generated program logs and invoices.
• Station Combo Groups opens the Station Combo Group Setup dialog, used to define or edit Station Combo Groups used to bundle spot orders.
• Cart Parameters opens the Cart Assignment Parameter Definition dialog, used to define or edit the cart assignment methods used by VT stations.
• System Information opens the VT Message Queues dialog, which shows the status of the various background processing functions that happen on the VT Server.
