View Menu
The View Menu contains functions that affect what you see on the Log Editor.
- Find opens a find dialog, allowing you to search for anything on the log.
- Find Next will find the next occurrence of the item last specified for Find. It is almost always easier to use the F3 key on the keyboard for Find Next.
- Find Spots opens the Find Spots dialog, an extremely flexible search function used to find spots on the log.
- Go to Time opens a time entry dialog allowing you to immediately jump to any specific time on the log. Remember to enter the time in 24 hour format.
- Station Log Settings opens Station Log Parameters display, showing the log parameters for the selected station.
- Spot Flag Legend opens the Spot Flag Legend display, which shows the explanation of the abbreviations used in the Flags column of the log display window.
- Refresh Log will immediately update the log display with the most current information. Most of the time, you probably will not notice any change. However, if you have been just ‘sitting’ on the log display for sometime, it is possible that VT has re-scheduled some spots. If you are expecting to see a change, use Refresh Data to force an update of the log display.
- Bump List toggles the display of the Bumped/Deleted Spot panel on or off. When checked, the Bumped/Deleted Spot panel will be shown. When unchecked, the Bumped/Deleted Spot panel is suppressed. Set or clear the check mark by clicking the menu item.
- Spot Properties toggles the display of the Spot Properties panel of the Log Editor. This shows a wealth of detail information about any selected spot on the log or bump list. When displayed, this panel can either be a floating window which can be positioned anywhere on your desktop, or it can be anchored within the Log Editor itself. Set or clear the check mark by clicking the menu item.
- Related Spots toggles the display of the Related Spots panel of the Log Editor. This shows all spots related to a selected spot in either the log list or the bump list. When displayed, this panel can either be a floating window which can be positioned anywhere on your desktop, or it can be anchored within the Log Editor itself. Set or clear the check mark by clicking the menu item.
- Log Items toggles the display of the Log Items panel of the Log Editor. This shows lists of all the various log items (avails, directives, etc) on the log, and allows you to edit them or apply them to the log. When displayed, this panel can either be a floating window which can be positioned anywhere on your desktop, or it can be anchored within the Log Editor itself. Set or clear the check mark by clicking the menu item.
- Log Totals toggles the display of the Log Totals panel of the Log Editor. This shows the totals revenue, commercial time, etc for the current log. When displayed, this panel can either be a floating window which can be positioned anywhere on your desktop, or it can be anchored within the Log Editor itself. Set or clear the check mark by clicking the menu item.
- Toolbar toggles the display of the Log Editor Toolbar, usually displayed just below the Menu Bar. As with most of the items in the Log Editor, the Tool Bar can either be anchored to the Log Editor or displayed as a floating window. Set or clear the check mark by clicking the menu item.
- Status Bar toggles the display of the Log Editor Status Bar, displayed at the bottom of the Log Editor. The Status Bar shows the status of the current log an the number of bumped or deleted spots from that log. Set or clear the check mark by clicking the menu item.
