Edit Menu
The Edit Menu contains functions that let you manipulate the contents of the log
- Allow Changes must be checked to allow you to make changes to the log. When it is not checked, the Log Editor becomes a Log Viewer, and all of the options that change the log are disabled.
- Edit Log Item opens a dialog appropriate to the type of log item selected:
- Move Up moves the selected avail up within the AvailSet. Use it to rearrange the contents of the AvailSet. This is unavailable if the selected log item is the first item in an AvailSet.
- Move Down moves the selected avail down within the AvailSet. Use it to rearrange the contents of the AvailSet. This is unavailable if the selected item is the last item in an AvailSet.
- Edit Log Item Time opens an Edit Time dialog, allowing you to specify a new time for the log item.
- Delete Log Item will delete the selected log item. If the selected log item is a spot, both the spot and the avail will be deleted. The spot does not go to the Bump list or the Deleted Spots list, it is deleted from the original order.
- Place Spot will place a selected spot from the bump or deleted list into the selected avail on the log. If there is already a spot in the selected avail, that spot will move to the bump list.
- Bump Spot will move the selected spot to the Bump List.
- Bump Spot to Another Day opens the VT Date Selection Calendar, to pick the day you want to bump the spot to. This applies a new target date to the bumped spot.
- Group Bump opens the Group Bump dialog, allowing you to set the criteria to bump multiple spots from the log to the bump list.
- Delete Bumped Spot(s) will delete all selected spots in the Bump List and place them on the Deleted Spots list. Be aware that whenever the Bump List is displayed, there’s at least one spot selected. When you select this item, you will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the selected spot(s).
- Group Delete Bumped Spots opens the Delete Bumped Spots dialog, allowing you to delete multiple spots from the Bump List based on common criteria you set.
- Restore Deleted Spot(s) is active only if the Deleted Spots list is visible, and there are spots showing on it. It will move the selected Deleted Spot(s) back to the Bump List. You will be asked to confirm that you want to restore the deleted spots.
- Restore Deleted Spots to Date is active only if the Deleted Spots List is visible, and there are spots showing on it. It will ask you for a date, and then move all deleted spots through and including that date from the Deleted Spots list to the Bump List for the appropriate dates.
- Reschedule Bump List – You can reschedule the bump list for one or more days. Enter the Start Date and End Date range you want to reschedule. The default date is the current log date. Double-click the dates to use the VT Date Calendar for rapid date selection. click OK to begin the rescheduling or Cancel to quit. You cannot reschedule the bump list for any log day that is in use (Allow Changes checked) by anyone including yourself.
- Cart/Copy Assignment opens a 3-item sub-menu:
- Remove Cart Assignments – Opens the Remove Cart Assignments dialog, allowing you to remove carts selectively from spots on the log or the bump sheet, based on criteria you specify.
- Rotate Copy and Assign Carts – Applies any copy rotation instructions to those spots that use Copy Plans, and assigns carts to spots if a valid cart number is available. When the process completes, the system will offer to preview the Cart/Copy Missing Report that shows which spots do not have available copy.
- Replace Invalid Copy - Scans the log and checks to make sure that all assigned copy is valid. If invalid copy is found, the invalid copy assignment is removed. Spots that have had copy removed are then run through the regular copy assignment process to see if there is valid copy to be assigned.
- Filler opens a two-item menu:
- Fill Log opens the Fill Log for Station dialog, allowing you to schedule Filler Spots to an official log.
- Clear Filler opens the Clear Filler Dialog, allowing you to remove selected, previously placed filler spots from the log.
