The VT Scheduler schedules spots from orders, and does it in the background. Normally, it runs on the server and processes orders from all VT workstations connected to that server. The Scheduler should be turned on all the time. If you stop the Scheduler, VT stops scheduling spots from orders that have been entered.

When new orders are entered in VT, they go immediately to the Scheduler unless approval for the order is required. Once approval is granted, the order is then sent to the scheduler for processing. There is no "schedule" button in VT. If the order entered and approved, VT automatically schedules it for you. The same thing happens when new logs become available. VT automatically schedules new logs for you.

To open the main Scheduler dialog, go to the VT server and click the System Scheduler icon running in the System Tray on the task bar.
