Process Queue Menu

The Message Queue menu contains four features you may use more often than the other functions of the Scheduler:

• Auto Purge opens the Auto Purge Time dialog, allowing you to specify how often VT will purge completed messages.
• Purge opens a VT Date Calendar , so you can specify a date. Messages on or before the selected date will be purged immediately.

•  NOTE - Someone at your station needs to assume the task of periodically checking and possibly Purging old messages. They can build up and slow down the function because of their number. The same advice applies to any message queue in VT. If you have far too many old messages, you can simply reduce the number of hours till the messages are automatically purged to improve performance.

• Refresh Rate opens the Set Auto Refresh Rate dialog, allowing you to specify how often the Scheduler refreshes the message display.
• Statistics opens the Message Queue Statistics display, which shows the status of the Scheduler process queue.
