Driving Radio Profitability: Marketron Experts to Share Digital Insights at 2025 NAB Show

HAILEY, Idaho — March 26, 2024 — Marketron, the broadcast industry’s trusted partner for revenue operations technology, shared news of its continuing effort to support radio’s evolving sales models. As digital sales have become a more significant part of advertising revenue for radio companies, the company has followed this evolution by delivering a built-for-radio digital sales platform, Marketron NXT, and providing a track for radio to become experts at selling digital advertising as a complement to airtime spots.

At this year’s National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas, Marketron thought leaders will present on radio digital sales topics, including sponsoring and hosting a roundtable discussion, “The Secret to Radio’s Digital Ad Success Is Being Local First,” at the Small and Medium Market Radio Forum. The roundtable will be led by Dustin Wilson, Senior director of digital strategy.

Wilson will also be a panelist for the session “The Local Advertising Buying Landscape: What Are Clients Buying, and How Are Radio Sellers Succeeding or Missing Out?” This panel will review more from the 13th annual benchmarking for radio digital sales report.

Marketron will also present a Radio Roundtable session, “What Makes Digital Sales Training Successful for Radio?” with Travis Cartier, Senior client onboarding and development manager. Attendees will receive insights and takeaways on the key pillars of effective digital sales training. Marketron has been investing in training and upskilling radio sales professionals for years, offering the NXT Training Academy, a library of on-demand resources, digital strategist access and award-winning sales enablement content.

Cartier will also be discussing Marketron’s newest program for digital sellers, NXT Wave. It’s a three-month program for individual sellers that expands their expertise and empowers them to become digital champions in their organizations. Participants receive personalized coaching, media training and hands-on support.

Wilson said, “Our technology, revenue model and commitment to training and education showcase that we are the biggest supporters of radio. We’re working to align with their needs, helping them diversify revenue but stay true to their radio and local roots. Our focus is on continued innovation of our software, expanding programs and being a source of education and inspiration as radio heads into the future.”
