A Log Directive is an instruction that is used by an automation or digital audio system. You do not need Log Directives if none of your stations use automation. The directive is placed on a log, often at the beginning of an AvailSet. When the log is exported or read by the automation system, the Log Directive provides the automation with a command or instruction. If you do need to send directives to an automation system, refer to that systems’ instructions for the exact context of the directive string.
